Sometimes people are so busy making a living that they never really live.

After a lengthy absence, I've returned to THE HOLLYWOOD STOCK EXCHANGE! If you enjoy movies and want to have a bit of fun, then join me in trying to earn a few HSX Dollars (the exchange starts you off with $2M of them). See you there! | ||
Over the last few years, music has begun to play a somewhat lesser role in my life. I believe that this shift has come about for a number of reasons including a re-ordering of my life's priorities and increased time constraints. Recently, reading non-fiction books that focus on world affairs has become a great passion of mine. Unfortunately, as with music, the lack of available time restricts my potential for taking in even a small fraction of the incredibly vast array of informative literature.
Nevertheless, as time permits, I still choose and prefer to listen to club music (r&b, hip-hop, euro, house, techno, etc.). But candidly, I enjoy just about all musical genres with opera, most classical and some country comprising the few exceptions.
On that note (pun intended), if you would like to talk to me about music, books, world affairs or anything else then please start the rock rolling by doing the . And if you can make the time, please also visit Z 103.5 (broadcasting live on the internet). And just in case you might be a little bit curious, I have listed some examples of faves which have over the past years stirred my soul and shaken my ass!
Finally, it is not often that lyrics, melody and artist combine to inspire me and so many others like me. Please take a moment to check out my "Foolish Games" tribute page and the official Jewel Kilcher website or check out Jewel's discography at CDNOW. Incidentally, has "affiliated" itself with Amazon.com (whatever "affiliated" really means).

TravelWhile I am not currently seeking a travel companion, I continue to welcome any and all interest. If you are so inclined then please click here to initiate a process of discussion. I have traveled moderately and I'm sure that I will travel more in the future. Places that I have visited include: much of eastern Canada, some of western Canada, Germany (Cologne), Texas (Dallas), various places in Florida, South Carolina (Charleston), North Carolina (Outer Banks), Virginia (Virginia Beach), D.C., much of West Virginia, Kentucky (Lexington), various places in Ohio, various places in Pennsylvania, Missouri (St. Louis), Nevada (Las Vegas and area), Mexico (Manzanillo and Puerto Vallarta), Dominican Republic (Puerto Plata and Sosua), Jamaica (Negril) and Brazil (Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and some places between the two cities). Why not take a glimpse into Brazil? For the facts, click here. For the experience, click here. Two long-standing tropical vacation destinations that remain at the top of my list are Belize and Margarita Island, Venezuela (please follow the preceding links to my respective pages). New Orleans, Louisiana had been on my list, however the current unilateralist (and increasingly intrusive and aggressive) U.S. administration has discouraged me from traveling to that country. If and when U.S. policies change for the better, I would still like to visit New Orleans during Mardi Gras and I would like to stay very near to - preferably on - Bourbon Street (where most of the action takes place). But, for the foreseeable future, New Orleans (for me) remains on hold. I now live that trip (and the others) vicariously through the web, especially via the many web cameras. Enjoy the information, pictures and links on my pages. Ciao and bon voyage! By the way, have you ever visited the Canadian province of Newfoundland? I had the opportunity to travel across that geographically unique island many years ago. It has occurred to me that (given the current status of the Canadian dollar vis-a-vis the American dollar) now would be an opportune time to revisit that part of my country. So stay tuned ... for updates and links to Newfoundland, Canada. |
