LAS VEGAS

Our trip to Las Vegas was through Funjet Vacations. Another bargain deal we found on the Internet: 4 nights at Boulder Station with all meals included for about $250.00 per person.
Our hotel experience had a couple of glitches...first they sent us to an occupied room, then we were awakened around 3am by a false fire alarm, then the power flicked off a couple of times...but hey, you expect those little inconveniences when visiting a foreign country.
The primary objective of our trip to Las Vegas was not gambling (though H did his fair share), but to visit the Star Trek Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton. And my, oh my, it was worth the trip!! The shuttlecraft ride is awesome!! As a Trekker from 'way back, whatsername found it almost (censored) in its intensity.
In the shops, she bought a Tribble and H bought a tie and a hat pin. WooHoo!

We did a bit of local sightseeing at a couple of the more exotic hotels, The Luxor and Excalibur.

The Luxor
A beautiful place. Elegant and sybaritic in the public areas away from the casino...would like to stay here to see what the rooms are like.

Excalibur
Good for kids. Noisy. Great shops. Have your portrait made in Medieval costume...it might not be the thing that makes your day, but your Knight will get a kick out of it.

Whatsername's alter ego.

Off now to another cruise. This time to the Panama Canal.
