Karen in a very expensive dress:
There's a story with this one. One Saturday in summer, 2000, Rachael and I went to the Norman Rockwell Museum in Arlington, Vermont. On the way there, you pass by a bunch of outlet stores in Manchester - including a Versachi outlet store. I tried to convince Rachael that it would be a good idea for us to go in and try on the most expensive clothes we could find in our sizes, but I only managed to convince her that it would be a good idea for me to do that (i.e. she wouldn't do it) and she'd take a picture. So here I am, in the most expensive thing I could find. This dress cost $4612.00 at half of it's original price. Not really my style anyway...
Karen with red hair (more red than usual):
What do you do when you have the thesis-writing blues? Grab a bottle of Manic Panic and do something weird to your hair, of course! (Rachael took the photo at my apartment in Burlington, January, 2001)
Karen as batgirl:
Ted took this picture of me at the Baltimore Zoo, July, 2001.
Ted says, "This is a picture of either a very large bat, or a very small
girl."
