Travel Information

Accomodation:

We recommend that you book accomodation soon, since Annapolis is a big tourist attraction and hotels fill up quickly. The average hotel rate in Annapolis seems to be about $100 a night. The most convenient hotels to the wedding site are the Radisson, the Best Western, and the Days Inn on Riva Road in Annapolis. If you don't mind paying a bit more, the historic bed and breakfasts in downtown Annapolis are a nice option - check Annapolis Inns or the Hometown Annapolis websites for more info on local B&B's.

Other general hotel info can be found at the Travelocity, Inn-n-out-hotels, or Hotel Guides websites.

Airports:

Baltimore-Washington International airport (BWI) is the closest to Annapolis (23 miles), although Reagan National Airport (DCA) and Dulles International Airport (IAD) are also reasonably close (37 and 61 miles respectively).

Tourist Information

If you haven't spent much time in the mid-Atlantic area before, we recommend that you take some time to check out Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. For a list of some of Ted and Karen's favorite places in Baltimore, see Karen's Baltimore webpage under the "Places I've Lived" section of her webpage.

Washington, D.C. tourist info:

If the Cherry Blossoms are not too far past peak (peak time is beginning of April), we highly recommend a walk around the tidal basin and Jefferson Memorial area of D.C. which is lined with hundreds of cherry trees.
