Hamakua Baptist Church Purchases New Property


Some of the pastors on the Big Island gather at the new property for the Hamakua Baptist Church. Thurston Higa, far left, is the pastor of Kaumana Drive Baptist Church which sponsors the HBC.

Next is Albert Camacho, the Catalytic Language Missionary for the Big Island Baptist Association.

Next is Leon Baker, the pastor of the HBC. He has just graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and returned to Hawaii.

Daniel Tomita, the next in line, is the pastor of the Kinoole Baptist Church in Hilo.

Ted Golsen is the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Waimea.

The five pastors gathered with Bob Duffer, the Director of Missions, to pray at the new property.

The property consist of 2 acres of former sugar cane land. It is located above the High School. The land has a gradual slope with a great view.
