Fossil, Texas as SAP IS-Retail Integration Lead (Nov’05 till date)

SAP IS-Retail implementation for Fossil, a company in fashion wear manufacture & retail. Anupam is involved as IBM Technical lead for IS-Retail, Middleware (XI & WBI), ABAP,  Basis & BW work.

·         Developed a strategy for moving Fossil to an Enterprise Service Bus architecture using SOA and a combination of XI and Websphere Business Integrator

·         Responsible for SAP Retail project implementation, to establish project development standards, Basis strategy for client landscape, client copies & security administration and status management of development work

·         Design of Idoc interfaces PO , Sales orders & Pricing from SAP AFS to SAP Retail

·         PoS interfaces from stores to SAP POSDM and updating  price changes  and bonus buys to POS 

·         Design for inbound Idocs posting for Non Aggregated sales - WPUBON and Cashier statistics-WPUKSR from POS system in the form of files & using the PIPE engine in POSDM

American Electric Supply, VA as SAP Solutions Architect (Mar’06 till date)

AES is a global power company, with operations in generation & distribution businesses across US, Latin America, Europe & Asia. It is undergoing a major transformation program, driven by SAP R/3, CCS, EP, XI, MDM, BW & Solution Manager. The global business solutions team is engaged in developing a template using SAP R/3, CCS, XI, MDM, BW , based on Solution Manager for program management & ARIS for process modelling.

Anupam is engaged as a SAP Solutions Architect for the Global Business Solutions, responsible for design, execution & operation of the architecture, global template solution governance, landscape / instance / client  strategy, transport strategy, solution security and global template distribution strategy for local rollouts. The program depends heavily on the Solution Manager for program management & process modelling using ARIS.

SAT- corp as SAP NetWeaver Technology Lead (Nov’05 till Feb06)

SAT corp is a leader in providing products for mobile workforce, integrating the field force activities with SAP systems using handheld devices. They targeted to migrate their integration platform from .net to SAP NetWeaver and get SAP’s “Powered By NetWeaver” certification for their products. Specifically, XI 3.0 was used as process middleware & SAP EP 6.0 as the user interface for their ASP application. Anupam was involved as the architect for business case preparation, tool selection, architecture design & liaising with SAP ICC. He assisted in design, development, testing, documentation and demoing to SAP ICC, with the team of 1 XI & 1 EP consultants from Gravity. The client achieved the certification successfully in 2 months time frame.

TIC Inc, Colorado as NetWeaver Technology Lead (May’05 to Nov’05)

This is a pioneering implementation in the Engineering & Construction Industry, being done by SAP America. Solutions in scope are R/3 Enterprise, EP 6.0 & BW 3.5, supported by Solution Manager 3.5. Anupam is involved as the Technology Lead for BW, Portals, Basis, Workflow & ABAP. He has been involved from the blueprint phase of the project, developing the basis strategies (client, transport, security, development & administration), BW reporting architecture, EP development strategy, ESS / MSS design & development using the EP solution, development objects estimation & planning, setting development standards & resource planning.

SAP XI Architect for DHL US (Jan ’05 to May’05)

This a client with global presence in the supply chain & logistics area. It was a ramp up site for XI 3.0 and EP 6.0. Anupam’s role was to enable enterprise services using R/3, XI , EP & BW. Experience includes installation of XI 3.0, performing post installation activities on J2EE / ABAP stack & configuring the XI server to integrate with R/3 & BW systems, Administration of the XI server & archival setup, design, hands on development & issues resolution using ccBPM, message mapping, ABAP mapping & proxy development in various SAP systems. Integration scenarios delivered include AMEX interface using File to RFC, Payroll interface using file to Idoc & Billing interface using the ccBPM for merger of 3 messages into a single file for R/3. created a PoC object to integrate SAP MI with SAP R/3 using XI, an inventory movement Idoc was posted in the R/3 using the Idoc processing.

Solution Architect on NetWeaver Technology for various clients (Oct’04 to May’05)

Anupam has been involved in solutioning and defining roadmap for adoption for various clients.

·         Portals implementation roadmap: Anupam worked to establish a roadmap to implement a Internet services fulfilment process and setting up offshore support process for their ongoing projects. As part of roadmap definition, his team demoed EP as the optimal enabler for their extended enterprise .

·         EP strategy for a high tech reseller: the client is leveraging on EP 6.0 , CRM & R3. They needed  strategy to adopt these packages fitting their needs. His role involved EP adoption strategy, solution map & installation of EP 6.0

·         Webflow adoption for manufacturing major: the client is preparing to adopt the Webflow technology to automate their functions in SD, HR & logistics. Anupam setup the pilot for the project, for the order approval scenario.

Hubbel, USA (Manufacturing Industry: Mar’04 to Sep’04)

Client is a major Electrical equipments manufacturing giants the US and Capgemini had undertaken a major business process engineering project using the SAP 4.7 ERP, BIW, EP 6.0, WAS 6.2 and XI 2.0.

Anupam was involved as the Delivery Manager(NetWeaver). He was responsible for creating the proof of concept demo using the EP 6.0, BSP & NDS for the pilot project, establishing the delivery processes, templates & methodology for delivering on SAP NetWeaver. He was involved in applications using BSP iViews on EP and design of R/3 interface to XI for inventory availability & pricing data.

NetWeaver’04 Ramp Up with SAP Walldorf (Apr’04 to Sep’04)

NetWeaver’04 ramp up project was a Capgemini and SAP AG project to evaluate the components of SAP NetWeaver, including R/3 Enterprise, WAS 6.4, MI, MDM 2.0, XI 3.0, SRM , BIW and EP 6.0. Capgemini built an integrated demo using the components of NetWeaver for Automotive industry scenario. Anupam’s role had been in the XI demo building, installation, configuration & administration of XI 3.0, installation & configuring MDM 2.0 in the XI 3.0 SLD, configuration of CI, R/3 and other SAP systems.

BD Biosciences, USA (Life sciences Industry: Dec’03 till Apr’04)

Client was one of the major Pharmaceutical giants in the US supporting the life sciences and providing products and services to accelerate biomedical discovery and diagnosis. This was a consolidation / migration of clients R/3 3.1 & 4.0B production systems to a single instance of R/3 4.7.

Anupam was the Offshore Delivery Manager, managing a team of over 28 technical & 3 functional resources. He also assisted the team in business requirement analysis, technical design, peer code review and defect resolutions. There were over 200 development objects delivered for the project.

Bombardier Inc, Canada (Aerospace Industry: Feb’03 to Aug’03)

Anupam has managed the delivery of biggest offshore project for CGEY India. He got involved in this project at an early stage & was managing the delivery of around 300 odd development objects for 2 parallel projects, accounting for more than 45,000 hours of development work with flexible ramp up plan. Modules implemented are SD, MM, PP, PS, FI /CO. The peak team size reached to 65 ABAP developers.

His responsibilities as an offshore project manager were Onsite – offshore coordination of activities & Delivery planning, Resource forecasting, billing, Infrastructure management, project status reporting, Technical leadership, issues resolution & delivery management, Quality control, testing process, delivery templates and design workshops.

SAP HR Interface Product development (Jul’03 to Dec’03)

This product is to be an SAP HR interface product to detect, collate & transmit the illness, pension, income & other HR data to health benefit organization. He was responsible as the Technical Architect. The interface uses workflow specific to HR module of R/3 to detect the changes real time, which will then be translated to Idocs for transmission, using file push mechanism.

Rexam Beverage Cans (Manufacturing Industry: Jul’02 to Jan’03)

Anupam was the Technical lead for the development team of 12 people for a leading beverage cans manufacturing company in US. The modules implemented were SD, MM, PP, PM, FI & WM..

He was responsible for developing a proof of concept for Order entry system, using ABAP and GUI XT, a web interface for Order entry using SAP DCOM connector, Design the technical design for online order processing system and also, creating an iView of the Order entry transaction in the SAP EP. Also, he coordinated the development team of 12 people for team sizing, objects allocation, time estimation, and development of an order’s alert system by using R/3’s workflow and SAP Office.

Nissan Motors, USA (Automotive: Feb’02 to May’02)

This project was for a US$49 billion automobile company with operations worldwide. This was the pilot project for CGEY for Onsite – Offshore development model. Anupam was Onsite coordinator for ABAP development.

Glaxo SmithKline, UK (Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences: Apr’01 to Jan’02)

SAP R/3 implementation for a US$28 pharmaceutical company. It had engaged CGEY for a global template for SAP R/3 implementations for 30 countries in Europe, ANZ & US for MM, PP, PM, WM, QM, PE, ECM, FI, CO, PA modules. Anupam was involved as System Integration’s analyst for the enhancements and FI Interfaces for Electronic banking, credit cards, procurement cards & foreign exchange data interchange with external agencies, automatic settlement of AP & AR entries in SAP, payroll journal upload, payment authorizations and distributing the Forex master. He was involved in enhancing HUM transactions in PE, user exits in ECM & PM.

Apple Vacations, USA (Package Travel Industry: Aug’00 to Mar’01)

Anupam was leading an onsite team of 8 people including 2 creative consultants, for Web integration of R/3. His role included server sizing, solution proposing, development, testing & production support. R/3 data replication in batch mode, Java RFC to R/3 components, display & enhancements using ITS & JavaRFC / JSP pages for online transactions including a credit card payment gateway, reports publication and integration with a web database.

Apple Vacations, USA (Package Travel Industry: Nov’99 to Aug’00)

This was a pioneering implementation of SAP in the travel Industry. Modules implemented were FI/CO, SD, MM and CRS Interfaces. Anupam was involved as Technical consultant

Xerox Europe, UK (Manufacturing: Aug’98 to Oct’99)

SAP R/3 implementation for a Fortune-50 office equipment manufacturing company, project based in Europe. Modules implemented were SD, MM, FI, CO & PA. Anupam was involved as ABAP developer.

Samsung Electronics, India (Manufacturing: Oct’97 to Aug’98)

SAP R/3 implementation for a fortune-100 white goods manufacturing company. Anupam was involved in development of BDC programs, generation of reports and layouts & provide post go live support.

Cigna Inc, USA (Insurance: Jul’96 to Jul’97)

Client was a US based Fortune-57 Insurance Company. This project used the 2-layer, 3-tier architecture for Client-Server processing using Visual Basic 4.0 on Win95 as front end, SQL Server6.5 on WIN NT on Server. The work involved writing SQA scripts, using SQA Robot, SQA Manager for automated testing.
