I think this is a good experience if you want to spent some time and if you'd like to discover another culture.If you talk with locals they can be very helpful and they know a lot of things about their place!So if you have the opportunity, do it! I did it most of the time i travelled, and i really enjoyed it,people are really nice and you become more curious about the place you visit!
