  • A/C = aircraft
  • CAPT =CAPTAIN
  • F/O = FIRST OFFICER
  • F/E = FLIGHT ENGINEER
  • FRONT END = PILOTS
  • F/A = FLIGHT ATTENDANT
  • PURSER / IN-CHARGE / CSM / F/D = LEAD F/A
  • AFD = ASSISTANT FLIGHT DIRECTOR ( WORKS IN THE BACK OF THE PLANE)
  • AFT = BACK OF THE PLANE
  • FWD = FRONT OF THE PLANE
  • MID = MIDDLE OF THE PLANE
  • L / R SIDE = LEFT OR RIGHT OF THE PLANE
  • ATC = AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL
  • PAX = PASSENGERS
  • CSA / CSR = CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT / REP
  • TKT = TICKET
  • DWN GALLEY = USUALLY ON THE L-1011-150, "KITCHEN DOWNSTAIRS"
  • GND = ground
  • cabin crew / cabin attendant ( C/A )= flight attendant
  • A/B = agent de bord ( in french )
  • FLT = flight
  • ETD / ETA = estimated time of departure / arrival

    Galley is the term used for our lovely kitchen that are located in FWD, sometimes MID and AFT of the A/C. Pretty busy in these places when it is time for stuffing the trolley with the hot casseroles! If you dont work the galley position, get out of the way if you dont want to be rushed out :) Offer your help but the "galley queen" knows how to manage it if he/ she chooses this position at the begining of the flt. go up
