Belize has a hot humid climate. The coastal areas are usually the hottest, and during the rainy season, the humidity can be quite unbearable. The mountain portions are cool at night, and pleasant during the days. Out on the cayes, the days are hot, but the sea breezes help to temper the heat. At night those breezes make for comfortable temperatures. The best time to visit is during the months of Dec.-April. This is the 'dry' season, and there is less chance of bad weather.

The mountain portions are warm during the day, and cool at night. The northern Peten can be hot and humid all the time. The coastal areas are hot during the day, with pleasant cooler sea breezes. At night those breezes make for comfortable temperatures. The best time to visit is during the months of Dec.-April. This is the 'dry' season, and there is less chance of bad weather.
The low lands near the coast can be extremely hot and humid during the wet season (April - Nov.). The best time to visit is during the 'dry months' (Dec. -March). Of course this depends on the region you wish to visit. Like the rest of CA. the climate is varied. Up in the hills it can get quite cold at night, so bring a sweater, or something warm. Out on the islands the temps are usually hot and humid, but the winds off the Caribbean ocean help to cool things a bit, especially at night. If your heading to Copan, expect to have warm to hot days, with warm nights.
