Had a great time in Maine. The whole Fam Damily still crazy like usual! (even without me!) here's an overview of our experiences:
Mistletoe learned to swim in an ultra-meandering river. mama's pooch didn't want to stay in the canoe! she'd never swam more than a minute or two in her life so i was very nervous, but very proud. the next day we went to camp and she went down to the ocean's edge and didn't like the taste of the water! salt water was a new thing for her--have you ever seen a dog spit before??! later, daddy fell out of the kayak trying to hold onto mine while i tried to grab life-jackets from the big boat, then poochie got upset and swam ALL the way out to the big boat to save him! she loves us! i strapped a pfd on her and she swam much easier that way (at least she could be seen in the water)
at granpa's she got dive-bombed by the jealous swallows and we could hear them tapping her head! she ran around like a dufus with her tail between her legs! she also must of seen the donkey next door and was jumping through the tall grass like a white-tail deer (white-leg dog). grass was a little bit too tall for her to see through! whose vacation was this anyways? she seemed to have more fun than us!
ee-wee and jo-jo got much bigger since march. they were very friendly and cuddly boys! eewee told me "hippopotamus" and "chimpanzee." blake and isaac learned to say "kerem" while christopher just nick-named kerem "big guy"!
pup told us some new stories about his overseas travel's while we ate us some lobstah rolls in brunswick. mmmmm Captain Mike's! (i've never liked lobstah anywhere else.) did u know he spent a dogs-age fixing the power plant in thailand only to be told that the emperor wouldn't run it because it was on a mountain higher than his own throne??
sadly, we had to leave gram and nana behind. they seem to have managed though as i heard through the grape-vine that they went to the fireworks together and burned some calories on their daily walk in lisbon. dem ladies are special ones! (its because their topic is their shared FAVORITE shared grandaughter--ME!)
so on the drive home we had an oil-incident...car leaked or swallowed the oil we added 1.5 litre's and still no oil on dipstik....car runs fine though. (will git cheked soon)
and as usual we didn't have nearly enough time to hang out. at least kelly, casey and ricky P-ROMISED to visit and i think it just might happen that way soon. (we hope)
15 hrs of driving, can u handle it?
