Amulet: a charged object of protection
from specific negative energies
or thought forms.
Asperger: a device used to sprinkle
water or oils, made of brass, silver
or sprigs of fresh herbs.

Athame: double-edged, knifelike tool
used to channel energy, as in casting
the circle, but not used to cut
anything material.
Besom: A broom made of brush or twigs.
P
Bolline: A knife used for cutting,
carving or inscribing things in the
course of a ritual---candles,
talismans, cords, etc. Or for
cutting plants and herbs in the garden.
Usually single-edged, and sometimes
having a sickle-shaped blade.
Book of Shadows: A magickal journal
in which spells, invocations, ritual
notes, herbal recipes, dreams, etc. can
be recorded.

Broom: Used to sweep an area clean
of negative energy. Hung on front and
back entrances into a home for
protection. Used to send messages to
friends via astral travel.
BCCandles: Used in spells.

Cauldron: Used for developing oils
and brews and for divination purposes
by scrying with still water, steam or
dripping wax into the water and
watching the patterns.

Chalice: Goblet or cup usually used
to hold wine, which is shared around
the circle in Wiccan ritual.
Charcoal: Charcoal briquets, placed in a
thurible or on a stone, are used for
burning incense on.
Cord: Either heavy string used in binding
and releasing magick, or the piece of
apparel circling the magickian's waist.
Incense: Used for rituals.
Lamps of Art: the two candles on the
altar, the colors of which are based on
the season or the magick being done.
Mortar and Pestle:
a bowl and the tool with
which herbs are ground.
Pentacle: An encircled five-
pointed star that is used in magick
ceremonies and is worn as a symbol
of a Witch's belief. Each point
has a specific meaning: Earth,
Air, Fire, Water and Spirit.
Stang: A forked staff used
in Green Witchcraft.
Thurible: A metal censer, dish or
burner to hold charcoal and incense.
Wand: A stick about 18" long carved
from one of the traditional sacred
woods and used to channel power.
