At 19:45 CDT, 1 June 1997 Rainbow Chaser was at (click for Chart)

Latitude 23 degrees 68 minutes North,
Longitude 87 degrees 52 minutes West.

Seas less than 1 foot, what little wind they have had has been clocking radically all day. They were starting the motor as we signed off to motor on course.

No significant weather to issue to them except for scattered light showers offshore between Port Isabel and Tampico, Mexico. CMAN Buoy # 4002, 200 miles east of Port Isabel had wind from 020 degrees at 8 knots. waves 3 feet, at 6-second intervals. A ship in about the same area reported the wind as 340 degrees at 6 knots. Seas 3 feet.
