32 Vatican City 1987 1994 The ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, painted by Michelangelo. The Vatican City is the world's smallest republic, totally surrounded by Italy but separate from it.
33 Philippines 1988 The steeple is all that is left of Cagsawa Church after an eruption by Mayon Volcano in 1814.
34 Japan 1988 Hiroshima Castle. This was rebuilt after being destroyed by the atom bomb in 1945.
