History

Liverpool win their first Championship.

Tottenham Hotspur become the first and only non-League club to win the FA Cup. They are also the first London club to win a trophy since the professionalisation of football.

The relegation of Preston North End and West Bromwich Albion leaves only five founder members of the League which have not been relegated.
