History

Arsenal are promoted to the First Division after finishing 5th in the Second Division after some backroom manipulation. They begin a record breaking run in the Top Division.

The League contains 22 clubs for the first time. The number of clubs would not change until 1988.

Aston Villa win the FA Cup for a record 6th time. The FA Cup final was played at Stamford Bridge (West London) between 1920 and 1922.
