History

On the final day of the season three clubs were in a position to win the League. The top three all won. Portsmouth become the second club to win the Championship by goal average.

Arsenal win the FA Cup without playing outside London. They had home draws in the early rounds and won the games without need of a replay. The semi-finals were also in London.
