Located at the southern of Tramuntana's ridge, Bunyola is scraggy at the north     and  plain  at  the  south with   a  great landscape  variety. It  has  three population nucleus: Bunyola, Palmanyola and Orient, and many  other  possessions  as   well,  among  those highlights Raixa, Alfabia, Coma-Sema, S'Alqueria d'Avall, S'Alqueria Blanca, Barcelona, Honor, Biniatzar, S'estremera, Son Termes, Son    Cavalleria, Son Creus, Biniforani.  Lorenzo Villalonga pass many summers in Bunyola, wrote the novel " Bearn " that years later was adapted to the cinema and rotated in the RAIXA's gardens.                                                                         
     This municipality of scraggy geography has heights that overcome the 1.000  meters in Alfabia's ridge and in the flat area, in the boundery with Palma, it       doesn't overcome the 100 meters. They highlight the torrents of Coanegra and that of Bunyola that ends in the Torrente Gros, in Palma's term.                       
     Its vicinity with Palma is one of the elements that have characterized it, and has got advantage and damage at the same time. It is transition earth between the city and the field. These last times, it has become bedroom town. Palmanyola urbanization, recognized as smaller Local Entity in 1987, is other population nucleus, but there are other urbanizations like Coma-Puig Verd or Sa Font Seca that are already extensions of the city.                                                               
     Now then, this urban pressure has not been limited to the residences. Also in the term there are Son Amar and Son Termes, two possessions changed into tourist local shows.                                                                                     
     Bunyola's landscape was immortalized into Santiago Rusiņol paintings and it is one of those more varied and interesting of Mallorca. Besides beautiful      possessions, it has one of the bigest forests of the island: The Commune, of about 1.111 quarteradas, located halfway between Bunyola and Orient, of      municipal property.                                                                                     

There people practice several hobys like excursionism  and escalade, mainly in the Penyal d'Honor, where is the Cave de Son Creus, of espeleological interest.
Orient, above the highest mound of Orient's valley, is located to the shade of      Alfabia's ridge.
