They're supposed to be serving free well drinks at the Aztec World Cafe for the people on the Fort Lauderdale STOMP. This is a fundraising event for Hands on Miami (my favorite nonprofit, which organizes done-in-a-day volunteer projects like holding babies or digging peace gardens or cleaning up the beach).

For the stomp, you buy a T-shirt for, like, $24 and you go to all the bars and restaurants listed on the T-shirt and they give you free stuff. But the Aztec changed its mind and was only serving wine and beer, so my friend Eric and some other guy, who are get-the-manager kind of guys, went and got the manager.

The manager made the bartender give each of us a Madras, but Eric's didn't seem to have any alcohol in it. So he stopped a waitress and asked her to taste his drink. "Do you taste any alcohol in there?" Like a good sport, she tasted it, then got him another one.
