Walking around on the upstairs deck of the Riverwalk Mall, across the patio from Hooters, my friend Eric and I run into a guy he went to electrician school with. While Eric talks to this guy, I talk to the guy's wife, Connie, who's a business consultant when she's not hanging out at music festivals. She says you wouldn't believe the amount of $$money$$ she makes, because she wears the "uniform": plucks her eyebrows, puts on the mascara. They believe anything she says.
Also, she's part owner of a surf shop in Costa Rica. She says she loved going down there because you go to sleep and wake up and Toucan Sam is sitting on your windowsill. That's her son, AJ, a little bit bored, hanging on her back.
