Located in the northeast region of Argentina, this is a relatively young province, whose name derives from the aborigine word "chacu" refering the hunting system employed by its former inhabitants, there is in this land no more history than that of its tobas, matacos, mocovíes or pilagás, names of the original tribes or the quebracho exploitation fever, hard wood tree which was almost erased several years ago from their forests.Limited by several rivers such as Teuco , Bermejo, Paraná and Paraguay the province of Chaco is widely known by its hot and wet weather conditions. In the present the Chaco´s economy is based mainly on the cotton, its traditional component, the forests that dominate the geography of this territory are a great economic resource that provide the wood for many sawmills and carpenters who assemble furniture as real artisans , the algarrobo tree is their primary raw material characterised by its strength and durability, another aspect to count is the diversification of its agrarian production .The province has a low industrial output, but is the heart of the commercial and financial activity of the region, a first sight impression that a visitor can quickly appreciate in
Resistencia the capital, an important path in the Mercosur roads.
