These
are the first steel beams set in the Steelers new stadium. |
|
|
It begins...
The first beams
are in place and the foundation is set for the Steelers brand new stadium.
Though the facility has yet to be named, Arthur Rooney II, vice president
of the Steelers, is excited about the construction. "The placing of this
first steel beam is symbolic," said Rooney. "Not only is steel the namesake
for the Steelers. More importantly, the erection of this beam represents
the future of Pittsburgh." The stadium is set to open in the fall of 2001.
