At the bottom of the revine is the Little Big Horn River.  Major Reno attacked the indian encampment in the trees, 6/25/1876  (lt. arrow) he was driven back to the trees( rt arrow) and forced across the river to the bluffs from where this picture was taken.  By the evening of the 26th the indians broke camp and move off.   Custer and his men were dead and the Batte of the Little Big Horn was history.
