Welcome to the website of Phoebe Leong, project/content manager, content developer/editor, and writer. As a project/content manager for several web development companies, I have spearheaded multiple projects simultaneously ensuring that the projects met their deadlines within the timeline and budget allocated in a fast pace environment. As part of my daily task, I also wrote original content, edited, up-dated, gathered and researched content for the various websites in development. I worked as an editor/producer for King5.com publishing content on its website and writing original stories online. For several years I have also been associated with two highly popular magazines called "Woman at Work" and "Men's Review." At "Woman at Work," I worked mainly on business women's stories, while "Men's Review" allowed me to stretch as a writer covering a wide number of topics ranging from politics, social issues to reviews on travel, books and movies. I have also taught ESL to college students at Mt Hood college and at the University of Portland, and have been a teaching assistant at the University of Missouri in Columbia. The classes, "Basic Principles in Journalism" and "Cross-cultural Communication" were fun classes to teach and I enjoyed them very much. I have a Masters degree in journalism, specifically in New Media from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in Columbia and I have worked at the University's newspaper, "The Digital Missourian" and the TV website, KOMU.com. In 1998, I worked at AOL as an intern for its International channel producing and programming story packages and writing a social commentary column online. For the last semester of my Master's project, I worked at Seattleinsider.com as an intern producer. |
