| Chirripo is Costa Rica's highest peak a 3820 m osl.. It is protected inside Parque Nacional Chirripo, which is part of the national and international park system (La Amistad international park) in Talamanca range Costa Rica. I had been there 10 years ago and could only remember the powerful sensation it brought of being very much a part of the Universe. Its beautiful lakes, the various peaks, Crestones rocks, and the paramo vegetated valleys all made for an unforgettable trip. Chirripo is definetely a trip for a life time. After hiking over 50 km in 4 days, we could just desire to make our stay longer next time. |
