the sorceress, John Waterhouse 1864-68

The leaf becomes flower when it loves.
The flower becomes fruit when it worships.

Stray Birds, Rabindranath Tagore

Hi! My name is Jingli Wang. I was born in Beijing, China and I moved to the United States in 1989. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in chemical and nuclear engineering. I then went to work for Guidant, a fabulous company which makes interventional cardiology tools, from pacemakers, to angioplasty surgical tools. Currently, I am a graduate student in the joint bio-engineering graduate group at UCSF-UCB. I am working with Professor Lisa Pruitt in the Mechanical Engineering Department. My current project is based on using MRI techniques to study the deployment of angioplasty devices such as stents and balloons with carotid indications.

I was motivated to make this homepage because I love travelling, and I'd like to share travel tips that my friends and I have gathered with the rest of you. However, like any project that starts small and spins out of control, this web page has taken me far away from my original goal! I am far more egotistic than I had thought! But I beleive that as time goes on, this site will become more and more interesting for those of you who are indeed looking for some travel tips, and has minimum patience reading through who I am and what I like, etc. So be patient!
