London March 21 - 24

London: the first stop on our tour.

While in London (for the first of three times on the trip) we did most of the touristy stuff - we took a bus tour to see the major sites like Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, St. Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and everything else.

We also checked out all the music stores around Piccadilly Circus and in Oxford Street, paid the first of many visits to the Prince Edward Theater, and we also visited Madame Tussaud's Rock Circus - which was truly awful!

We also paid the first of two visits to Abbey Road, site of most of  The Beatles' recording sessions. And on one afternoon when the gang went our separate ways I also went to the British Museum to see the Egyptian antiquities and the Elgin Marbles.

Mark was the only one of our group who went to the first preview of Mamma Mia! at the Prince Edward Theatre on March 23rd. The rest of us had to wait until the premiere on April 6th.
