About the Woodlands.......
The Woodlands Resort is
located on the North shore of Plum Lake in beautiful Vilas County,
Wisconsin. It shares a 
rich history with the surrounding area
as one of the original family resorts which populated the area
decades ago. The resort includes 7 country homes, completely modernized
for your comfort and convenience. They are nestled on the shore
among towering pines, hardwoods and evergreens. A large shallow,
sandy beach and swim raft will provide many hours of fun in the
sun. There are provisions available to enjoy a campfire on the
shore, a playground for the kids and a fish house to clean the
day's catch. Nearby nature trails guided by the DNR provide a
pleasant way to observe and experience the local flora and animal
population. Besides being a premium water sport area in the summer,
fall is the time for color gazing and hunting, winter is a busy
time for snowmobiling, ice fishing and sking. A major cross-country
ski and mountain-bike course is less than 4 miles away. Sayner,
St. Germain and Boulder Junction abound with unique gift shops,
fine restaurants and family attractions.
