A Note to Mom's and Dad's
This page is a little different than any other you will find on the Plasma Symphony Site. I have developed it in order to introduce children to Classical frames of music. On this page, I seek to spur the child's imagination, to hear and envision. The simple songs of childhood will be transformed into works of classic beauty. If you child is too young, you can help him ot her to experience this new realm of music.
Thank You, God Bless, and enjoy !

How we listen to music
(Mom and dad, it would be helpful if your child is younger than 6 to help them)
There are really 2 ways to listen to music. The one way is to just sit back and listen to all of the instruments playing beautiful tunes. This is fun, but, there is a second way. To really enjoy music, you need to use your imagination. Alot of music tells a story. You have to make your imagination work to really enjoy it.
Now, you may ask, what is imagination ?
Have you ever had to stay in the house on a rainy day and play in your room ? There, you have your cars and trucks, and if you are a young lady, you have your dolls. You think of your trucks driving down the open highway, or your doll joining you in a tea party. Well, you are imagining that these things are happening. And, its usually alot of fun. You can do the same thing with music.
Suppose it's raining outside, and you wanted to play in the park with your friends. Although you can't be there with them, they can be there with you. Picture all of your friends lined up, ready to start a parade, and you are the leader. To help you, let me add a little imagination music. You can hear your one friend playing the drum, the other, the horn, and all of the other instruments. Now you are ready to march.
See ? Using your imagination can be alot of fun. Now, lets try another one. Close your eyes and think of springtime. What do you see ? Can you see the birds, just back from their long flight from down south in the trees, singing ? Can you see the flowers starting to bloom, the trees with their new leaves? Now, listen to this musical piece. You can hear the birds, almost feel the flowers growing, almost feel the happiness of springtime in the air.
Not only can the music tell you a story, but, the instruments can play the parts. As an example of this, we will listen to a small portion of "Peter and the Wolf" Here, you will hear Peter walking in the woods, the birds chirping, the sound of the wolf. Close your eyes and you can actually see these things as you listen.
Some other goodies....
All imagination and no play makes Jack and Jill bored children, so, I have included some other music here that will enlighten and spark more thoughts.
