I am planning a visit to the Indus gorge in 2001, but being female and not having a travelling man at my disposal . I have been advised by many people to wait until I have a male companion.I know 20 years ago Dervla Murphy did the journey safely,but i am to d things have changed greatly.Can you advise?

Hey there, I've just logged on in search of inspiration for my next trip to Pakistan. You're web site is cool, i like you're biking tips, i may choose to use that mode of transport next time. I went last in 1998, and spent 3 months checking out Karachi ( mad hustley bustley city that never sleeps without a manic time beforehand ) Islamabad ( the serene surroundings and clean organised way of life with a picturesque backdrop) Some more cities including Lahore and lastly the Salt Range. The Salt Range i have no words for, except the whole time i was there i imagined i was constantly on some kind of adventure advertisement. Can't wait to go back I may come with you!!!! .....HINNA
