Q: What is the difference between indoors & outdoors?
A: The key difference between indoor and outdoor sun exposure is that indoor tanning takes place in a CONTROLLED environment. The amount of ultraviolet (UV) light you receive is consistent and dermatogist tested whereas outdoor sun where one CANNOT know how much UV you receive during exposure.

Q: Are there any hidden benefits with indoor tanning?
Or course! Obvious benefits that differentiate indoor tanning from outdoor exposure are convenience, privacy, relaxation, and a STRESS FREE control of the tanning environment! Another difference between indoor and outdoor tanning is that indoor exposure programs can be tailored to individual needs so to MAXIMIZE each tanning minute!

Q: Do you have to tan everyday for a great tan?
A: You should NOT tan everyday. A 48 hour interval is recommended between tanning sessions, inside or out! Remember, it takes as long as 24 hours for pigmentation to become fully visible so, 2-3 times a week should do for most skin types!

Q: What about Medical benefits?
A: Studies suggest that pigmentation protects the skin against overexposure which can lead to skin cancer. Also UV lamps on tanning beds are recommended by physicians in the treatment of psoriasis and other skin disorders. In addition, medical and scientific studies corroborate that sunlight typically stimulates the production of Vitamin D3 in most normal skin. Vitamin D3 helps the body obsorb dietary calcium and, therefore, build stronger bones.

Q: Can anyone tan indoors?
A: Tanning indoors is not recommended for everyone. Anyone with Type I skin (albino or extremely fair-skinned) generally burns rather than tans when exposed to the sun's rays, and should exercise caution before tanning either outdoors or in a salon. Pregnant women should consult their physicians before tanning, due to the warmth (not the UV energy) emitted from the tanning bed. Anyone taking antibiotics, diuretics, or any photosensitizing drugs or anyone with a sun-sensitive condition should check with his or her physician or pharmacist before tanning.
