| If you're coming from abroad, the international airports of both Genoa and Milan are good
choices for arriving/departing. If you plan on using mileage awards
for your airfare, we recommend booking your flights as soon as possible,
as seats tend to sell out fast. On the other hand, if you need to purchase
a ticket, we have a few ideas -- use the internet to find a good
deal or name your price, use one of the discounts that we've
negotiated with two preferred airlines, or purchase a ticket during a Spring
airfare sale (they usually happen in February or March).
The distance from Genoa to Sta. Margherita is 19 miles, from Milan: 100 miles. Traveling by train to Sta. Margherita is a good option – from Genoa: 30 trains/day, 35 min, from Milan: 15 trains/day, 2 hours, 05 min. Driving is also an option, with the drive from Genoa taking approximately 30 min, from Milan: approximately 2.5 hours. |

The families and wedding party will be
staying at the Hotel Continental
in Santa Margherita Ligure. This 4-star hotel is located on
the sea at the southern end of town. It offers its guests
splendid views, private terraces, a beach with snack-bar
service, a restaurant and bar, and a private garage. 
We are holding a limited number of rooms at this hotel for the period of the wedding. To book one of these rooms, send a request to the hotel specifying that you are with our party. Be sure to tell them your arrival/departure dates and the type of room you need: single, double w/ matrimonial bed (queen), or double with two beds. You may also specify if you would like a seaside view, though they cannot guarantee the availability of these rooms. After they reply with availability, you will need to fax them your credit card details to secure the room. Be sure to find out the cancellation policy before you book, just in case your plans change. Our option on rooms expires on January 31, 2001, so be sure to book soon! |
