Jaisalmer oozes with the ancient charm. Like an ancient city straight out from the Arabian Nights, Jaisalmer completes our quest for a city intact, after more than five hundred years old.

Complete with bustling bazaars, camel  safaris, special cookies, desert dunes, and majestic Jain temples, there's no where else in the world quite like this. One of the most amazing thing is within the Fortress; within the city walls, life goes on! You actually get to see how people lived (and still do) within the walls of this ancient city.

This is a snapshot of Khurri Dunes, early in the morning, when I woke up, still in a dazed.

That's us on the camel. Well, actually each of us were suppose to be on our own camels. But gesh, I had a mad camel, drooling like a fountain, and ever so ready to throw me out of his hump ever time I moved just a little bit. So, I hitched a ride on my mate's camel..

This is our camel driver, Sai. He was like the most benevolent person around in the middle of the desert. He treated us like his children, mounted us on the camels, lead us through the desert, and fed us Chapati, yeah lots and lots! heh.

Known as the Golden city, Jaisalmer shimmers in gold during the evening setting sun. It was yet another unforgettable moment. We sat on the Cenotaphs,  watched the sun sank slowly beneath the distant desert scape to the mesmerizing sounds of an old Zita.

That's another look at the bustling outer city beyond those city walls during sunset.
