James 4:13-17- Now listen, you who say, " Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money."Why, do you not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil. Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesnt do it, sins.

2 Thessalonians 2:10 - They perish because they   refuse to love the truth and so be saved.

1 Peter 1:24-25 - " All men are like grass, and all their glory is llike the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord stands forever.

2 Peter 3:8-9 - But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting  anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
