Camping is not permitted in the National Park.

Koala Spotting Best time to spot them is in the late afternoon when they begin to stir. One of the best places to find them is on the track up to the "forts". There are about 250 koalas on Magnetic Island.  If you don't manage to see one in the wild then go to the Koala Park Oasis and Sanctuary in Horseshoe Bay. There you will be able to see, take photographs and maybe even " cuddle" one of the koalas.

Museum of Tropical Queensland - 70 - 102 Flinders Street East, Townsville. ( Next to Reef HQ and IMAX Dome Theatre.
