View From The Room Don't Look Down!

The Hotel in New Orleans
We arrived in New Orleans on Wednesday afternoon and immediately took a shuttle from the airport to our hotel. It was our first opportunity to view the city, and at first blush it looked pretty much like any other city you may have visited. It had its freeways, skyline, businesses and housing tracts. It even had traffic as the freeway bunched up when it started to rain. The rain came down fast and furious, but only lasted a short time. Maybe ten minutes. We exited the freeway not far from the downtown area, and drove through most of the business district before being dropped off at the Royal Saint Charles Hotel. It was a four star hotel with nice accomodations, although the room and bathroom were a bit small, and a decent view. Our friends Glenn, Sydelle and Verjineh were just finishing checking in when we arrived, which was a very convenient coincidence. It allowed us to start planning our course of action. |
