Amerindian Greenstone Axe Head

Probably a Votive Offering dating from around 2000 BP. Recovered from 37' water on the North side of Gaspar Grande Island, Trinidad.

Pitting  due to long exposure to marine organisms can be seen however the axe edge is still well defined.
