Unfortunately I can honestly say that watching the game in a packed pub, surrounded by French fans, while wearing my AB's jumper, was not where I wanted to be by the time the final whistle blew. I must have looked a wreck at the time because one of the French fans at our table took it upon himself to give me a hug and tell me (wait for it...)it was only a game! I restrained the urge to throw him out the pub window and smiled and told him I would support France in the final instead, he went away and we were both happier for it.
