Cashel
OK, about  a third of the way to Dublin is a nice wee place called Cashel, which has the impressivly named "Rock of Cashel", a huge stone Abbey from the last century placed on a large hill over-looking the town . . . its all very "Dracula-ish" if you know what I mean.
Anyway, stayed here just for the night and went to check out "the Rock". It certainly is an impressive sight, and well worth a look if you're around.
I don't even know where to start on this one, Dan and I pretty much just wandered around in awe for an hour or so. I mean, you see so many castels and cathedrals when your in Europe that you tend to get a case of the ABC's (Another Bloody Castel, Another Bloody Church . . . ) but this place was outstanding. Even the atmosphere was enough to make you talk in a whisper. A fantasic site.
More of Cashel....
