The answer to the question -- how far away was he -- is, not far.  I took this shot
from a canoe on the Zambezi.  (On our last night our guide, Peter, told us that one
of his clients had a paddle snapped out of his hand by one of these guys --
something he'd neglected to mention until after we were done canoeing.)
