Attending nursing school at St. John's was one of the most memorable experiences in my past.  The course was intense and demanding, to say the least, but I shall always remember the wonderful people associated with my learning experience. The sisters, as well as the lay instructors, were completely dedicated to teaching the best, and most up-to-date nursing techniques of that time.  I will always admire their sincerity and tireless efforts to assure the students of a complete education in nursing.  The school of nursing continues as the St. John's Hospital College of Nursing.

The same holds true for St. John's School of Anesthesiology.  We were given ample experience and didactic education in the field of nurse anesthesiology.  At the time of graduation, I felt confident in my future as a nurse anesthetist.

Kudos to St. John's for providing wonderful opportunities for students to learn their chosen professions in nursing and anesthesia as well as many other medically related professions..

I regret that the school of anesthesia is now closed.  It was one of the oldest schools of anesthesia in the U.S., but the hospital sisters elected to close it for reasons unknown to me.
