I loved this attraction to a stunning degree. When I went to Paris and found myself taking far too many photos in Phantom Manor, I thought I was going a bit overboard, worried a bit about my sanity even, and ended up with about 60 photos from there. Fast forward 4 months. I'm sitting on my floor on January 7th, the day after Haunted Mansion Holiday closed, sorting and numbering my 234 individual photgraphs (not counting all the digital shots or the 3 trips through it on video), and I'm wondering how I managed to miss a few things. Eisner you bastard, just give me one more hour with the ride. I promise I'll be gentle.
Hopefully, with a little bit of work, I can make this a slightly comprehensive look at the 2001 version of this ride. If things are different when the ride returns in October (and you KNOW it'll return. You see how much merchandise they sold?), then I'll do comparison shots or something, but that will be a different section of this crappy website. Most of these photos are scans, some are digital shots, and credit for the pics I didn't take will be given where appropriate. Later, I'll write more (and better) crap here, but for now, enjoy the pictures.
