From the Bath branch Rob was given an Olympus Superzoom compact camera. Here's how it performed.
Used:
Daily, in all weathers and light conditions, with 100ASA to 400ASA film.
Performance:
Excellent: pin sharp pictures, even at the maximum 115mm (which I used a great deal). The autofocus and exposures were pretty much spot-on all the time even in tricky situations. The fill-in flash was particularly useful in strong sunlight, while the weatherproofing meant I wasn't afraid to use it in rainy conditions.
Verdict:
I'm a great fan of Olympus cameras anyway (several OMs and a Mju in the past) and this proved absolutely ideal as a bar-bag camera, ready for an instant shot - and that big zoom range meant even distant objects were worth photographing.
