The river, Duna, runs through Budapest. The west side of the river is called Buda and the east side Pest. Buda is hilly and rich residential area with a lot of trees. The scenery viewed from the Pest side is very pretty. Recent years Buda area is crowded and expensive so people working in Budapest begin to find the place to live in the suburb of the town.

The magnificent Neo Gothic parliament stands on the Pest side along the Duna. It was constructed at the beginning of 20th century.
The hill in the right of the photo is Gellert hill and at the top of of it you can see Citadel(fort). The bridge over the Duna is Erzsebet bridge named after the queen of the Hapusberg.
On the left is the famous Matthias Church which was first constructed in 13th century in Romanies and then in Gothic in 14th as you can see now. The architecture with the pointed roofs is Fisherman's Bastion.
