My Bio

I stepped out onto the stairs of the plane, and the dark skies were lighted with tall, endless spotlights that were shinning white onto the run way. Breathing the night air made my heart beat faster. The humidity clinged to my face and when the breeze hit my cheeks, it completely changed my temperature from the cold plane to the hot, humid night air of Beirut...the airport was exciting, well anything was exciting for me, especially in a new country. Then we stepped out of the airport, into the heart of Lebanon. And for the first time in my life i saw palm-trees!!!!So i began to throw silly child's thoughts through my mind like what i would see next. I thought of this cartoon i had seen on TV, so i thought that i would see banana trees and pineapple trees, and believe it or not i did see tiny little banana bunches growing of the side of the road, but no pineapple trees...

Mountainous Roller Coaster...

Well the first time i went, the only lights that were on the HIGH, HIGH, VERY HIGH mountains were our headlights. That's it. No post lights, nothing. Dead black. I thought it was neat--then when we got down i realized how high we were, and how close i was to DEATH!!

The Valley

I woke up the next morning to the sound of the chirping of the birds, and when i opened my right eye, a straight beam of sunlight BURNED my eye! Later, i had breakfast fatayer bi juban(cheese pies) and tea, i walked outside and the driveway was hot! I actually had to stand in the shade! Ahhhh life in Lebanon was all that and what they say a piece if baklawa!

The Beach..

the following week, we all jumped into this stuffy volkswagon van that belonged to my cousins' dad which had NO windows only in the front, and the back seats were taken out and replaced with these very thin futons. ALL THE WAY THERE WE SAT AND BOILED IN THE BACK SEAT FROM LACK OF AIR, and the ride itself is about an hour, well that's what it seemed like anyways. FINALLY we arrived and i jumped out onto the beach as fast as i could, then jumped off just as fast! The sand on that beach was sooo hot that i actually burned my feet! I thought at that rate the sand would melt into glass-cause that's what glass is made out of. Anyways, so i gathered up my courage to finally run across the hot sandy beach cause i couldn't stand it anymore, i had to jump in those blue, mediteranean waters.

The waves splashed up ontp the shore, and in the far distance i could see a very large ship floating across the waters, and soon everyone had seen it, so we brought all of our cameras and started to take pictures of us holding the tiny toy like figure in our hands. It was a happy day for everyone.
That night we watched the sun slowly set - well most of us did, i was busy trying to catch these fish that swam up to the shore with this little net like toy. It was a beautiful evening.

ANYWAY, to get back to me, i am lebanese, but i now live in Canada, and that's my flag on the main page flying proudly. Then there's school. And then there's my bestfriends. They're pretty cool. Well you know what bestfriends are like? Except they're better! Most of them are (starting from girls) Sarah, Anissa, Mariam, Noura, Asiya, Ronda(the sell-out), Sahar, Samah, Rena and Roueida, and all the guys from my Gr. 9 class, like Sid, Adel, A.J.(he's my cuz), Ed, Sami, and a whole lotta others - other guys, i can't fit the rest of yas in! (if you haven't already noticed!!!) My fave subject is Science, then Social.

That's my '97-'98 class of Grade 8

And finally my "Good Job" family. I am the eldest- including all my cousins, not just the immediate family! I have i think 16 cousins all together, and i still have unmarried aunts and uncles! Woooooooooohoooooooooooo! What a job, but hey i am pretty spoiled! hehehehe...Some of the things I like are lightning storms. Everytime there's one outside i run out to watch the sky light up, but then my mom tells me to come inside, she doesn't like lightning storms very much!

Well, ever since i went to the Jewel of the Middle East, i always wanted to go back, and inshallah i will. The reason why i made this webpage was because i wanted to let the world know what a beautiful country exists on this planet, and everyone should go and visit, oh and by the way, you'll end up staying longer than you planned, trust me!
