We were greeted in the usual Happy House tradition by family and friends with songs and smiles. We were sure made to feel welcomed and we were happy to be back among brothers and sisters in Messiah. They always take good care of us during our stay and we enjoy it very much. This stay would last 3 weeks and when it was over, no one wanted to leave.
Jesus (Yahshua) said that true religion was taking care of widows and orphans. That is the most impressive thing about Happy House, they truly do that. There are over 40 street kids living there. The Salvation and Praise Fellowship, or Happy Church, as it is known in Ozamiz, runs it's own old folks home, builds and gives away small houses to the poor and feed many needy people in the Ozamiz City area expecting nothing in return. Pastor Elvie Go began everything in 1982, and has devoted her life to this ministry as it has grown to do so much good over the years.

Joy, Nana Bading, Tonia, Jon and Pastor Elvie
Pastor Elvie is very dedicated to her church and flock. She is always involved in some church related activity or caring for the people in need. I don't know where she finds the energy. On second thought, yes I do.

Happy House Kitchen
Veding is in charge of the kitchen at Happy House and preparing the daily meals. Along with the help of others she always has a delicious offering, morning, noon and night. With so many visitors it seems as though her work is never done. As soon as she completes one meal it seems that she starts on the next. Well done Veding!

Brother Alan Go
Alan Go is Pastor Elvie's brother and has become my best friend in The Philippines. We spend time together listening to music, Alan can sing maayo kaayo, in fact he sings like Elvis. While at church one service he sang, How Great Thou Art, he did a very good job with it, everyone enjoyed it.
Jaime and Tiny Len
I first met Jaime and Tiny Len back in 1991 on my first trip to The Philippines and Happy House. Tiny was an orphan and very young. She has lived at Happy House ever since, in school receiving an education. Happy House is her family. Jaime has spent many years there also, and completing school.
