Tim's Favorite Links on the Web

Here is an online magazine called Echos du Nde which features the story of "La Reine Blanche" (The White Queen), a University-Educated French woman I know who chose to become the 32nd wife of a Bamileke chief ! I recommend her new book.

When I was in Africa, I had a small shortwave radio and I liked to listen to it almost constantly. If you have the Real Player, you can listen to the African Service of Radio France International, and also the Voice of America in audio. I think that these are actually some of the best sources for daily news about Africa anywhere... I especially recommend Barry Mauhn's Sport Journal on VOA, and Musiques Africaines on RFI. I still listen to these shows almost every morning.

Si vous voulez voir des photos incroyables de Madagascar, voici la page de mon cousin Lionel. Il a passe un mois a voyager dans l'ile avec mon frere.

Check out the sensually enlightening page of my good friend Francois Gastambide who lived in Douala (Cameroon's largest city) at the same time as I did.

My Brother's homepage is also pretty cool if you like reading fantasy books. You can also check out his personal poetry and short stories (especially if you are a publisher looking for new talent...)
