Made it down to Cabo San Lucas after stops in Bahia de Tortugas (Turtle Bay) and Bahia Santa Maria.

Finally have made it to the warm Pacific! We've really been enjoying the swimming and surf, if not all the tourist blah-blah of the Cabo scene.

Spent Halloween in turtle bay, a small bay occupied by a hardscrabble town of maybe a few hundred folks max. But each year for the past 5, 100+ boats from California have made the pilgimage south and have been in this spot on Halloween. The kids of the town have gotten into the spirit, and the sailors come prepared with candy to give out. Ben and Cam dressed up in their costumes from last year (grim reaper and Spiderman, respectively) and we went ashore, to multiple cries of "Halloween!, Halloween!". When Jill broke out the candy she was mobbed, straining to give out the candy to the real kids... Cam was startled to be grabbed by the shoulders so that one of the moms could take his picture beside his mummified child (er, dressed as a mummy, that is).

The trip down was overall, uneventful, with just the expected gear breakdowns (sad to shred our newly acquired spinnaker, happy to be able to put it back together with our sewing machine)...

All in all we're well and slowly getting into cruising mode.
