I jump at the chance to read anything that contains information on Roswell and the 1947 incident. So when author Phil Patton was in town signing his new book, Dreamland, I knew I had to read it.
I was; however, a little disappointed because the book contained little information about Roswell or aliens. It did give a comprehensive history of "black projects" purported to have been researched or produced at Area 51 and other places. Phil did a lot of research making several trips to Nevada and other sites and he relates his experiences in an intelligent manner. He successfully remains aloof from the "lore" of Dreamland and delivers an excellent book.
If your interest is in "black projects" such as Stealth, you must read this book. If your interest is in gathering information on the possible alien presence, this is probably not the book for you. A synopsis of the book and other reviews are available at amazon.com by clicking on the book cover.
I am pleased to announce the first magazine devoted to UFO's to be published in Roswell, The Roswell Monitor UFO Quarterly.
While I don't have anything to do with the publishing of this magazine, I do have a limited number of the inaugural edition. Email me at ethertop@pvtnetworks.net if you are interested. Or, send $10.00 for a year's subscription to:

There is more to Roswell, NM than the 1947 crash of a UFO just outside of town. But if that is your primary interest, click here to go to the UFO Section of this page.
Roswell is located in southeast New Mexico and has a population of about 50,000. It boasts an extension of the Southeast New Mexico University and New Mexico Military Institute. Roswell is best known for the 1947 UFO crash just outside of town. While we do have the International UFO Museum and Research Center and many stores that sell UFO-related items, the city has more to offer than just UFO's. In the future this page will feature my experiences in Roswell, but for now, here are a few links that will enlighten, educate and entertain you.
On December 5, Roswell welcomed Christmas with its annual Electric Light Parade. About 20 floats decorated with electric lights run by portable generators made their way down Main Street. All the town's lights had been turned off making it quite a spectacle! City churches, stores, Girl Scout troups, the Military Academy, and the Zoo participated. Here is a photo of the Roswell Zoo's carousel entry and of the helicopter entry from the Eastern New Mexico University's Pilot Training program.
The Roswell Community Web Site contains information on the community, the historic district, museums and art centers, and businesses in Roswell. Its worth a look!
The Roswell Daily Record is the local newspaper. It is also the paper that carried the now famous announcement of the 1947 UFO crash and recovery by the Army Air Force from Walker Air Field just south of town. Although this announcement was released by the base commander, it was later retracted and replaced with the infamous weather balloon story to which the Air Force continues to stick. The Roswell Daily Record web site contains the current newspaper as well as some history about the 1947 incident.
Of course, the July, 1947 front page is probably more exciting than todays!
The International UFO Museum and Research Center is located in the heart of Roswell. The Museum's exhibits follow the events of July, 1947 through interactive displays and informative posters. The displays present the facts but do not push the visitor towards one side or the other. The Museum also has three film viewing rooms which run continuously throughout the day. Other exhibits include UFO art, crop circles, and children's artwork. These exhibits rotate periodically. The Museum has an excellent site of their own. Here you will be able to learn about the 1947 crash, other events concerning UFO's, and report your own sighting. If you only have a little time, check out Dennis Balthaser's account of his attempt to retrieve a piece of metal purported to be from the 1947 Roswell chash. It is thrilling, chilling reading! The Museum hosts a monthly lecture on the second Saturday of each month that is free to the public. I hope to be able to provide a synopsis of these lectures in the future on this site. Lectures over the past several months have been:
