Hobbies
Music: I can't read sheet music or play an instrument worth beans, but God gave me a good ear and a good imagination, so what started out with having one of those toy keyboards has grown over the years into what is nearly a complete music studio, and I can use my sequencer synth and computer to write music and have them correct my mistakes and layer sounds so it seems like I know what I'm doing. So far, people have liked what they've heard. It's a shame, but I lost a lot of my music in my move to PR, (the disks were corrupted somehow,) so I'm trying to get enough written to put a tape or CD together. Eventually I will have samples of my stuff online.

Electronics: I'm no expert here either, but I enjoy tinkering with stuff that's broken and being able to fix it. It doesn't always work, but most of the time it does. I've fixed televisions, stereo equipment, circuit boards, etc. What's most fun is when I can design and build my own circuits for some project I want to do and have it actually work!!! :-)

Woodworking: Nothing fancy, just building simple things when I need them. Haven't gotten into this much since I've been here in Puerto Rico, but I'll get to it eventually when I need a new table or set of shelves or something.

Computer: Of course, playing on the computer is one of the things I enjoy, or you wouldn't be seeing this page right now...

Remote Control: This is another one I haven't really gotten into again since I've been here, (all my hobbies switch off and on as the mood strikes me to be more active in them,) but I have right now a remote control (R/C) car, one R/C airplane, and two R/C helicopters. I especially love anything to do with flying.

Travel: AGAIN, something I haven't been able to do much of since I've been here, but I'm still getting used to this new land and haven't had the travel bug bite since I've been here. I've been all over the Southern U.S., down to Mexico, bounced around Western and Southern Europe, and now am here in the beautiful Caribbean... :-) I'd like to visit Australia one of these days, and think that will probably be my next major adventure.

Tinkering: I'm one of those guys that would rather take something apart to see if I can fix it myself, (assuming I think I know what the problem is,) rather than call a repair man. I am very good at jerry rigging things, and have fixed a broken washing machine with a bit of coat hanger, fixed a broken connector inside my computer with a piece of paper clip, etc. Somehow, it's fun to be able to do something like that and know that the repair man would be charging a bundle for replacement parts and such when I can do the repair myself, or fashion my own repair parts out of common household items for next to no cost at all. It really isn't a matter of the money, but is more the amusement of knowing that two pieces of coat hanger can be used for what would otherwise cost a couple of hundred dollars if a professional were called.
