Andre was born on April 23, 1962, in Pretoria, South Africa. He is the third child out of four born to Paul and Marion Schoeman. He has two sisters and a brother.
Andre was an avid sportsman, enjoying rugby, athletics, swimming, especially during primary school. He also delivered newspapers and became a gym instructor. In his high school years, he did a lot of hiking and rock climbing. He spent most of his holidays touring around South Africa and what was then known as South West Africa, now known as Namibia. Andre was the chairman of the Peripatus Hiking Club from about standard 8 to matric.
Andre attended Hoerskool (meaning High School) Menlo Park. During his matric year school holidays, he worked at Iscor as an operator. He gained massive exposure to how things are done on the factory floor. He was employed full-time at Iscor up until December of 1999.
In 1980, Andre started studying Electronic Engineering at Pretoria's university, Tukkies. During this year, he also started working at what was then known as Barclays Bank and what is now known as First National Bank. He also worked as a wine steward at the Meat And Eat restaurant. To this day, he has an impressive wine collection!
Andre is now in business for himself, as a TCO expert, working in the IT industry. He started his own company, ITTCS (Information Technology Technology Consulting Services). His website is under construction still, but his contact details are there, at least.
Andre LOVES comedies and he loves to laugh! He has an extensive collection of animated videos because he loves kiddies videos too. His favourite tv character is Bart Simpson! (Oy!)
He is an excellent husband and an equally excellent father. He adores his two boys and they adore their daddy! He makes time to be with them and spend time with them as much as possible. They love pottering around the garden with him on the weekends, just to be around him!
